I will definitely be coming back to this, though.Cassandrahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09319901329438691914noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3452170266037097261.post-10345244561183890752010-01-24T16:55:39.059-08:002010-01-24T16:55:39.059-08:00Personally I think it is a mistranslation and that...Personally I think it is a mistranslation and that when the spirit of the Lord left him and he was then troubled by an evil spirit it was NOT of the Lord.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3452170266037097261.post-60774599551170615292010-01-22T02:54:41.458-08:002010-01-22T02:54:41.458-08:00It is a confusing verse, isn't it? When I look in e-sword at the strong's words that are used, it seems as if the word evil could mean afflicting, displeasing, distressing, grieving, troubling. This reminds me of some of the verses in the Bible that talk about how the Israelites were to "afflict" their soals when it came to things like the Day of Atonement. I think it like a "convicting" spirit maybe, like what happens to us when we turn away from what we know to be right. We tend to be somewhat tormented by our consciences. Anyway, those are my thoughts...h2ovaporhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00765364354849536772noreply@blogger.com
