What's On My Nightstand?

What's On Your Nightstand

This month I concentrated on reading as many of my library books as possible so that I can start working through the Seattle to-sort pile. My library stack is now quite small! I even completed several books from the to-sort pile (marked below with a *).

Bible - I am so close to finishing the Old Testament! I can't wait to start reading the New Testament.
  • Jeremiah 15-52
  • Lamentations
  • Ezekiel
  • Daniel
  • Hosea
  • Joel
  • Amos
  • Obadiah
  • Jonah
  • Micah
  • Nahum
  • Habakkuk
  • Zephaniah
  • Haggai
  • Zechariah

Children's literature

Christian Fiction

History

Manga
  • Nodame Cantabile V.1*
  • Nodame Cantabile V.2*
  • Nodame Cantabile V.3*

Memoir

Nonfiction
  • Fat Quarter Quilts by M'Liss Rae Hawley - 2 stars only because I didn't care for any of the quilt designs. It might be a great book for quilters who have a different taste in quilts.

Secular Fiction

April will be filled with books from The Pile. [Cue ominous music here]

The Pile

Happy reading!

oh goodness! you have been busy! I am working on reading my bible beginning to end but I am only at Ezra. one or two books a month. I read the Little House series last year for the first time and really enjoyed them! I need to read Anne of Green Gables, one of those that I just never have picked up. Thanks for sharing your list. I always get great titles from WOYN

I actually have zero library books in my house. Egads. That never happens. But now that I get a lot of free books on my Kindle, plus free review books, my trips to the library are less frequent. Still kinda sad though.

That's great that you're almost through the OT. I'm mixing it up this year and reading a cycle of 2 weeks in the OT and 1 week in the NT.

Great list!

Wow, now that's a pile! I started the Little House series last in January but haven't returned to it. I actually picked up Little House on the Prairie at the library the other day but ultimately put it back. I need to get back to the series.

That's a ton of books! Good for you!

I really want to read more Little House books to my kids. We read the first 5 books, but then I started reading everything on my Nook and I haven't been able to find The Long Winter as an ebook. I may eventually give up and just read them the paperback copy that I have around here somewhere, but ebooks are just so much more convenient!

Wow girl! I am surprised your nightstand can withstand that weight!

Sonoma Rose (on your Feb nightstand) was in the New section at our library Saturday, so I grabbed it. While I missed Sylvia and her regular characters, I enjoyed reading about this new family. Who'da thought domestic violence and Prohibition could weave into a story?

That's awesome that you're so close to finishing the Old Testament!

I have a giant pile of unread books, too, so your picture just made me feel better. :)

Now that I'm a grown-up (Hah!), Little House on the Prairie is my favorite, too. When I was younger, I waffled between Farmer Boy, The Long Winter, and These Happy Golden Years. Oh, how adulthood changes things!

Good luck with your to-sort pile!

I still reread the Little House series at least once a year. :)
